C7044 - Thermoelectric Generator Hot Water Powered Motor Kit
Unique lab demonstration for thermoelectric power uses a Peltier Thermoelectric Generator that produces enough electricity from a cup of hot tap water to cause a small DC fan motor to operate. Relies on the Seebeck-Peltier effect by which multiple PN thermoelements are sandwiched between two ceramic plates. This Peltier module is connected to a heatsink on one side. When a metal cup containing hot water is placed on the reverse side of the Peltier Thermoelectric Generator, it produces enough electricity to power the fan motor for up to 60 seconds before the water starts cooling off. Great demonstration of an application of non-polluting green energy. Use over and over again without any batteries or power source -an amazing demonstration. Requires simple assembly, no soldering required. Complete with everything shown, just add hot water.
