They have a relaxing effect. A negative ion is an oxygen atom charged with an extra electron. This item is brand new, custom made and easy to use. Just connect (+) of 12VDC to red, (-) to black and white lead has a carbon brush that emits negative ions. Size of unit 0.75" wide x 0.59" tall x 1.08" long (excluding single mounting ear). Red and Black hook up wires are 11.5" long, white lead (including carbon brush tip) is approximately 11.8". Brand new!
