SESCO/BAY rotary viscous Damper was made for flight control systems, side-stick controllers, fly-by-wire link assemblies and nose wheel steering. They were made to prevent pilot-induced oscillations and smooth out mechanical vibrations. Made from an anodized aluminum housing with heat treated stainless steel vane shaft for high shear and a sealed temperature compensated internal chamber where high viscosity silicon fluid is sheared under laminar conditions to produce pure velocity-dependent resistance without adding mechanical stiffness. These appear new, however we are not sure. Retail was over $1,500.
