This is a completely self-contained kit enabling you to do the soldering exercises in the book, culminating with the pulsing-glow circuit described in Experiment 14. You do not need to own any other kit to use this one. You will have to buy soldering equipment, and a multimeter will be extremely useful. A 9V battery is necessary but not included.Contains the following components and quantities:
(4) Generic red LEDs
(1) Connector for 9V battery
(3) 2N2222 transistors
(2 feet of each) Hookup wire in three colors
(1) Rosin-core solder
(1) a selection of heat-shrink tubing
(1 large, 2 small) copper alligator clips
(1) one piece of unplated perforated board
Necessary resistors and necessary capacitors for the experiments listed.
