Looking for a fun and colorful way to learn to solder?
Meet Sam, our friendly Learn-to-Solder Clownfish! Students may recognize a relative of Sam from an animated ocean adventure on the big screen — but now, it's their turn to dive into an exciting journey of their own with Chaney Electronics.
Using the latest in PC board routing technology, this hands-on kit gives students a Clownfish-shaped circuit board to practice their soldering skills. They'll start by soldering four “dog bone” resistors that mimic the Clownfish’s iconic vertical stripes, followed by two bright orange capacitors that resemble its pectoral and dorsal fins.
The kit is completed by installing a flashing LED (just make sure to observe polarity!) that brings Sam to life by lighting up his eye. It’s a delightful project that not only teaches a valuable skill but also gives students a real sense of accomplishment, inspiring further exploration in the world of electronics.
Runs on one 9V battery (not included).
