Bourns panel mounting absolute contacting encoder (ACE) provides and absolute digital output that will also retain its last position in event of power failure. Output is 8-Bit code with 128 absolute slates. Panel mounts with included nut. Full specs are on the web. Has 0.25" dia. x 0.5" long shaft for knob if you wish. Brand new - Retails for $12.
