Detailed Description

This lot includes five (5) Western Digital WD 160GB SATA/300 hard drives. All have been tested with CrystalDiskInfo and are recognized. Four drives report “Good” status, and one reports “Caution” due to higher power-on hours. Capacities are 160GB each with an 8MB cache.

Perfect for legacy systems, data recovery projects, or for the adventurous tech tinkerer who wants to test a NAS setup without risking expensive drives. In a RAID 5 configuration, these five drives would give you around ~600GB usable space with reads in the 150–250 MB/s range and writes around 60–100 MB/s. Just remember - they’re seasoned veterans from the SATA II era, so they’re more for experiments than mission-critical storage. All drives were wiped twice and formatted for NTFS.
